A Flannel Pajama-Inspired Holiday Card

A Flannel Pajama-Inspired Holiday Card

It’s Christmas Eve Eve, and I’m doing a little happy dance over here because I’m officially on holidays! You can be sure that said happy dance is being done in my cozy PJs and slippers, which I just might stay in all day long because hey, isn’t that what are holidays for!? Speaking of PJs, that’s exactly where the inspiration came from for today’s flannel pajama-inspired holiday card.

To get started, I pulled out a piece of Color Crush cardstock in Cherry Kisses, a shade I don’t often use but found perfect for this occasion. I positioned this in my stamping platform on top of a piece of craft foam (my go-to for ensuring clear, consistent results with background stamps), grabbed my Good Ole Gingham background stamp from The Stamp Market, and covered it with black ink. I have to admit, this felt so weird and very much out of my crafty comfort zone because I rarely use black on my cards! After stamping the gingham print, I trimmed the panel to slightly smaller than my white card base.

Next up was die cutting the letters for my sentiment. I cut ‘ho ho ho’ out using Heather’s Lower Case Die Set from Pinkfresh Studio, once in white and again in glitter cardstock. After layering the white on top of the glitter slightly offset, I adhered the letters to the stamped panel. From there, I mounted the ‘flannel’ piece to my card base with foam tape for dimension, and finished the card with a few bits of crystal confetti.

Thanks as always SO much for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful, restful holiday!
