A Simple Falala

Simple Falala Card featuring The Stamp Market and Pinkfresh Studio

Hi friends!

I hope your week is off to a good start, and that you’re staying warm wherever you are! I say this because I just got back from a chilly (but mostly just rainy) walk, and am currently sipping a cup of tea to warm myself back up. Lately I’ve been spending a lot of my weekends doing some cozy crafting, and the card I’ev got for you today is one from my most recent card making session. It’s a quick, simple and clean holiday design featuring products from The Stamp Market and Pinkfresh Studio. As you’ve probably noticed, these are 2 brands that I use very frequently and lately I’ve been having a lot of fun mixing and matching products from both.

To kick things off, I used the Pinkfresh Studio Tree Trimming Friends stamp set along with The Stamp Market Color Crush ink pads in Emerald and Jade to create the tree. For the lights, I heat embossed these with Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing powder from WOW. While you can’t see the glitter happening in these photos, I assure you, they have some major sparkle in real life! Next, I die cut each piece with the coordinating Tree Trimming Friends die set. using tiny clear dots to adhere the lights.

As for what was going to go under my decorated tree, I decided to layer a piece of Jade cardstock under a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper from The Stamp Market’s holiday release. For the sentiment, I knew I wanted to work some more colour into the card so I opted to use the Pinkfresh Studio Heather Lower Case Die Set, along with The Stamp Market SM Color Crush cardstock in Jade, Emerald, Sea Glass, Fuschia, Party Pink and Cotton Candy. Since there wasn’t much space, I went with ‘falala’ and adhered the letters with my favourite skinny foam strips to create some dimension.

Annnnnd that’s it! Stay tuned for more to come later this week, and in the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful day!
