Hey friends! Today I’m sharing another card for the Pinkfresh Studio March Challenge, which is all about florals. Even though it’s still quite chilly here on most mornings, spring is on the way – I can feel it! This seems like a perfect time to create floral cards of all kinds, don’t you think?
To get started on this one, I began by creating a stamped stripe background. I used the Studio Pop-Out Diagonal Stripes Stamp Set, along with Pinkfresh dye inks in Candy Violet, Aquamarine, Mint, Ballet Slipper and Coral Reef. I absolutely love the Pop-Out Diagonal Stripes because this is a red rubber stamp, and it’s SO easy to stamp different colours without having to use any masking paper or Post-it tape. Ever since I got it, this stamp has given me clean, stamped images every time – pretty much a stamper’s dream!
After my background was complete, I heat embossed a few flowers from the Anemone Magic Stamp Set on vellum (another gorgeous floral stamp from the most recent Pinkfresh release!), and the large sentiment from the Whole Lot of Awesome Stamp Set on a plain white panel. I die cut the flowers with the coordinating dies, and from there, all I needed to do was stick everything together!
I used tape runner to adhere the striped panel to my card base, foam tape on the back of the sentiment panel, and tiny transparent glue dots to attach the vellum flowers to the corners. These are my current go-to glue dots because they’re tiny and pretty much unnoticeable under the vellum components of my cards.
If you’d like to join the challenge, there’s still time! You can find all the details here, where you’ll also post a link to your card or scrapbook layout. Winners will receive a $50 gift card, and you’ve got until March 30th to share. Happy creating!
