Pinkfresh Studio Bougainvillea Hot Foil and Stencil Cards

Just when you thought you’d seen it all with the new Pinkfresh Studio Bougainvillea stencil and hot foil plates earlier this week, I’m back with MORE!

As I mentioned earlier this week, I can’t get enough of my gold foiling machine and have continued to have fun playing with the new hot foil plates in Pinkfresh’s latest release. Details on how to enter to win it all are here, and today I’m part of an Instagram hop with even more prizes up for grabs. More about that at the end of this post!

I grew up with a backyard full of bougainvillea trees, so was drawn immediately to this stencil/foil plate combo. Today’s cards are similar to those that I shared on Monday, only this time in a different colour palette and with yet another new hot foil sentiment.

For both cards, I created backgrounds using the Bougainvillea layering stencil and Pinkfresh dye inks in Passion Fruit, Candy Violet and Olive. Then, on one of the panels, I positioned the hot foil plate on top with some silver foil, let it heat up and ran it through my die cutting machine to create the foiled impression. (It’s so satisfying, every single time!) I skipped the foiling on the other card, just so that you could see that the result is beautiful, whether you choose to foil or not.

Next, I created some 1/4″ stripes using the Slim Stripes Die Set in cardstock that coordinated with my ink choices.

Next came the sentiments. For the first, I used the new Thank You So Much hot foil plate along with silver foil and cut it out with the coordinating die. For the other card, I went back to a recent release to find the Happy Birthday sentiment, and embossed that in silver before running it through my die cutting machine.

With all of that done, it was time for assembly – in other words, call in the foam tape! I attached my stripes vertically on one card and horizontally on the other which helped the sentiments on top to stand out a bit more in front of the bougainvillea backgrounds. Finally, I mounted the panels on each of my white card bases.

Looking for yet another chance to win some Pinkfresh goodness for yourself? There are TEN $25 gift cards up for grabs in the Instagram hop today, and all the details you’ll need to enter to win are over in my feed. Just look for the Instagram hop graphic, and good luck!
