I don’t know about you, but I sure miss travel right now, don’t you? I mean, I know it’s technically not impossible to travel, but given all things pandemic-related, it’s not exactly convenient. In the meantime however, I’ve been traveling within the walls of my craft room to….

…France! Today marks the launch of the Global Adventure Part Deux Collection in the Catherine Pooler shop, and the cards I’ve been making to celebrate feature the new Dreaming of France stamp and die set. I shared a little peek at these items in my last Instagram post, and today, those macarons are getting a (literal) shake-up!

To get started on this card, I stamped a whole bunch of little macarons in black ink, then colored them in with my Copic markers. After die cutting every single one of them, I also die cut a thick rectangle frame for my shaker card window, and two sentiments with the new Ooh Lala die – one in gold, and one in white to layer on top.

For the background panel, I used the refreshed Catherine Pooler Minted ink to create a quick and easy gradient. Once it was trimmed to fit my card base, I placed all my die cut macarons on top, along with some shaker bits from the Vegas, Baby! sequin mix. With foam tape lining the back of my shaker window, I secured it on top and gave it a firm press to make sure none of the bits would escape.

There’s a lot more in this stamp set than just macarons, so be sure to check it out, as well as the rest of the new Global Adventure Part Deux Collection here. You’ll also find the new and refreshed ink colors, Minted, Sixteen Candles and Oh Boy, and if you’re into pastels, you’re going to want to get your hands on these!
