Circles & Such Everyday Cards

Circles & Such Everyday Cards - featuring The Stamp Market and Pigment Craft Co

Hi friends! Today I’ve got two cards to share that blend a little of the new new with the old when it comes to stamps in my stash. I don’t often use patterned paper, but I do love making my own patterns and abstract-looking stamped backgrounds. The Stamp Market Circles & Such stamp set is an oldie but a goodie with heaps of possibilities for doing exactly that.

To get started, I picked out my inks – a combo of turquoises and neutrals from The Stamp Market and Pinkfresh Studio’s dye ink collections. For one card, I used the long repeating circles stamp from the set to repeatedly stamp in each of my colors. This was super easy to do in my stamping platform by simply moving the cardstock up by equal amounts every time I switched inks.

For the other card, I used the solid circle and semi-circle, as well as a couple of patterned circles to create some fun shapes. Once I had the background as full as I wanted it, I trimmed both card panels to fit onto my white card bases and mounted them with foam tape.

The “new” part of the combo is the sentiments. The ‘congrats’ comes from The Stamp Market’s Gorgeous Greetings set, and the ‘thank you so much’ is from Pigment Craft Co’s Dashing Sentiments. I embossed one on vellum and the other on Jade cardstock, cut them out with the coordinating dies, and adhered them to my cards with foam tape. A few little gold sequins finished off each card.

And now, the burning question: When you look at the card on the right, do you see abstract circles, or cookies? I created these one morning after breakfast and it wasn’t until I finished before lunch (when I was significantly more hungry) that I realized the tan circles are very cookie-like!
