Confetti Wishes Shaker Card – featuring The Stamp Market

The Stamp Market Confetti Wishes Shaker Card

Yours truly has been on a BIG celebration card streak lately, and today’s creation is no exception. I’ve always loved shaker cards and think they’re fun to make, send and receive. Today’s features The Stamp Market Confetti Wishes stamp and coordinating die.

I began by creating my sentiment, first stamping Confetti Wishes on vellum and applying white embossing powder. After heat setting that, I used the coordinating die to cut it out, along with 3 more in Color Crush shades of Island, Tropic Teal and Fuschia. My cardstock was backed with double-sided adhesive which made for quick, easy stacking. To adhere the vellum piece, I used little bits of clear-drying liquid adhesive.

While the sentiment was set aside to dry, I worked on the rest of the card. Rather than a plain white background piece for my shaker, I applied some subtle colour with some pale yellow ink blending. I created a shaker window using a simple nested circle die and adhered a sheet of acetate behind it, followed by a whole bunch of foam tape. Next (the best part) I filled the window with crystal confetti and sealed it up with my yellow ink blended piece.

Finally, I mounted the shaker on my white card base, then positioned the Confetti Wishes sentiment over the window. And because you can never have too much confetti, I adhered a few little bits around the circle to finish the card.

I’ve got many more celebration cards coming up, so stay tuned for those. In the meantime, thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
