Stretch Your Supplies: Dry Embossing with Hot Foil Plates

Earlier this month I shared two cards that I made with the new Pinkfresh Studio Chevron Hot Foil Plate, and once I started, I couldn’t stop! That wasn’t the only plate in the new holiday release – there’s also Diagonal Stripe and Diamond ones, and my foiling machine hasn’t had much of a chance to cool down because I’ve been using them all non-stop!

Today on the Pinkfresh blog, I’m showing how you can use these to not only foil, but dry emboss too. If you’ve been on the fence about hot foiling and need something to finally convince you to take the plunge, this post could be it! Of course, you can use the plates as they’re intended to create gorgeous foiled images, but you can also use them like dry embossing folders to create textured backgrounds. We LOVE a good versatile craft supply, do we not?!

You can check out all the details, as well as the step-by-step process for this card here. If you decide to create some cards using the plates in this way, I’d love to see! Feel free to tag me on Instagram. In the meantime, thank you so much for stopping by!
