Hey there friends! Today I’ve got another card to share using products from Pinkfresh Studio’s latest release. If you’re a Pinkfresh fan, you’re well aware that if you need florals, they’ve got you covered! This release was no exception with several new flower-ful items, including the Friendship Blooms stamp set and Choose Hope stamp set.
I began with ‘colouring’ the Choose Hope floral, which meant getting out my ink blending brushes and Pinkfresh dye inks, along with the Choose Hope Layering Stencil Set. Truthfully, until recently I haven’t been a big stencil fan. That said, they’ve recently found a place in my heart because I LOVE how layering stencils allow you to achieve a multi-coloured image with little to no masking. This one was super easy to work with!
I selected inks in Candy Violet, Soft Lilac and Fresh Pear. After applying the ink for each layer, I let it dry completely before using the stamp and gold embossing powder to create a gold outline. After that, it was just a matter of running the image through my die cutting machine with the coordinating Choose Hope die. Voila!
The flower is certainly the star of the show here, so I kept the background super simple. I used the Essentials Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die and heavyweight white cardstock, then trimmed the panel and mounted it on my card base with foam tape. While I had my embossing supplies out, I created a sentiment using one of the stamps from the Friendship Blooms stamp set and positioned it in the top left corner. Finally, I finished by adhering the Choose Hope floral with tape runner…. although thinking about it now, it would have also been fabulous with foam tape. (Yes, says the foam tape junkie over here… are you surprised!?)
I hope you enjoyed this card and that perhaps it’s inspired you to do a bit of card making of your own. Don’t forget you can still enter to win a $25 Pinkfresh Studio gift card by commenting on my blog hop post. See you back here soon!
