Hey there friends! Today I’ve got two new cards to share featuring my favourite new papercrafting company. I talked about Pigment Craft Co a couple of weeks ago, along with my first 2 creations here, but in case you haven’t heard, the company is new, growing fast, female-owned, and Canadian! Those are some pretty solid reasons to support, don’t you think?
This weekend I had tons of fun playing with the Hello Beautiful Blooms stamp set, as well as the coordinating dies. If you’re the type who, like me, enjoys spending the afternoon stamping all sorts of little florals and greenery, then this duo is for you! The stamp set comes with both solid and outline stamps which I love because you can stamp an outline in one colour, then neatly fill it in with another.
I created two coordinating cards in this craft session, both with wreath focal points. To begin, I stamped some leafy branches and small buds in a somewhat circular shape on my white card panels. Then on a separate piece of cardstock, I continued stamping extra branches, leaves and flowers in coordinating colours. Once all of them were cut out, I arranged them on top of the branches stamped on my card panels.
When everything was in place, I adhered the branches and leaves using liquid glue pen, leaving some bits un-glued for more of a 3-D effect. For the larger flowers, I switched to foam tape for a bit more dimension.
For each card, I chose words from the Dashing Sentiments Stamp Set and embossed them in white on some deep purple cardstock. I cut them out with the coordinating dies, then mounted them in the middle of each wreath with little bits of foam tape. Finally, I covered the back of each panel in (you guessed it) foam tape, and centered them on my card bases.
The colour combinations are truly endless with this set, and since many of the stamps are small, they’re also great for creating backgrounds. Stay tuned for some more cards that use the pieces in this way, and in the meantime, I hope you’ll check Pigment out – you will not be disappointed!
