Hi there, friends!
We’re in the final week before Christmas, and despite not being physically near my family this year, I’ve been doing what I can to make things feel festive. Watching Christmas movies on Netflix, attending virtual Zoom holiday parties with friends and co-workers, listening to holiday playlists, wearing Christmas pajamas, and of course, holiday crafting! I suppose it’s been one of those “fake it till you make it” situations, but it’s kinda working!
Today i’ve got a quick slimline card to share, combining a few products from Pinkfresh Studio and The Stamp Market. I began by die cutting a bunch of holly and berries from Color Crush Cardstock, along with my Holly Jolly 2-piece sentiment. Feeling in the mood for more of a traditional holiday colour scheme, I went with Emerald Isle, Raspberry and Jade, plus some diamond glitter cardstock for the skinny part of the sentiment.
To create a textured background, I chose the Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Slim Diagonal Stripes cover die and ran it through my die cutting machine with white cardstock. Before adhering it to my slimline card base, I added my bits of holly and trimmed the excess off the edges.
Next, I backed my Holly Jolly die cut with skinny foam strips so that they’d really stand out on the card, then adhered it right in the middle.
That’s it! This was a really quick one, perfect for anyone who’s running low on time but still needs a few more cards. I’m about to dive into some candle making this morning (another one of my crafty hobbies) and maybe a little card making later because my non-holiday card stash is in desperate need of replenishing. I hope you guys have a wonderful, crafty weekend!
