Juuuuust when you thought I’d finished with the Mini Autumn Leaves, I’m back with 2 more cards!
That’s right. Up until this week, I just didn’t feel right starting to make my holiday cards for this year because it just felt too soon! But something about October being here has me in the mood to craft away my weekend hours in my cozy slippers with a warm bevvy nearby. Before diving into all things holiday, I wanted to share two more cards made with the Mini Autumn Leaves die set from The Stamp Market.
Recently I shared how you can use these dies in 4 ways to create cards with very different looks. (You can catch up here and here if you missed those.) For today’s designs, I used some of my leftover cardstock scraps to cut a few more leaves, arranging them in wreath-like shapes around some gorgeous sentiments.
The first card’s sentiment comes from the Kindness Matters stamp set, and for the second, from the Fresh Cut stamp set. Both were embossed using fine gold embossing powder on heavyweight white cardstock, and I backed each piece with foam tape before adhering them to my card base, over the leafy arrangements.
Of course, a card isn’t complete without some embellishments, right? I used some matte gold sequins on one and some enamel dots on the other. I haven’t used enamel dots in the past as I typically use matte adhesive to stick my embellishments on, but these ones have great adhesive on the back and I’m definitely a fan!
And there you have it! Two fall-inspired kindness cards that’ll help you use up extra bits of that oh-so-precious leftover cardstock. Don’t you love it when you can minimize waste? I sure do! Coming soon: wreaths, presents and holiday greetings. Cue the Christmas music? Ok, I know it’s still early, but it will be here before we know it!
