Leafy Wreath Hello – featuring Pinkfresh Studio

Hey there, friends!

Today I’ve got a card to share that features plenty of dimension, and a few of my recent favourites from Pinkfresh Studio. Not long ago, Pinkfresh launched a new Essentials Nested Chevron Die, as well as some great coordinating stencils and dies. One of these was the Overlapping Leafy Wreath Layered Stencil, a 4-piece set that works for all sorts of year-round cards.

To get started, I picked out 3 inks – Mint, Meadow and Emerald City – and my ink blending brushes. I used Mint on two of the layers since it was lightest, then followed with Meadow and Emerald City for the last 2 layers. Once I removed the final stencil (which is always the best part!) I cut the wreath out with the coordinating die.

While I had my die cutting machine out, I also cut my chevron background from white cardstock, a plain white circle (to go behind the wreath), and the letters for ‘hello’ using Heather’s Lowercase Die Set. Just like I did for this card, I used foam tape to stick the white chevron v’s to my card base.

Next, I adhered the simple white circle behind my wreath so that I’ve have a nice flat surface to arrange the letters on. After they were arranged the way I wanted them, I secured them to the wreath layer and adhered that to my card base. If you really wanted even more dimension, you could back the wreath layer with more foam tape – just be sure that you’ve got a big enough envelope!

That’s all for today, but brace yourself because there’s a new Pinkfresh Studio release coming up and I think you guys are going to LOVE it! Have a wonderful week, and thanks for stopping by!
