Lots of Love Notes - featuring The Stamp Market

Let’s talk sentiment stamp sets. Do you have a favourite? One that you reach for allllll the time, all year round? I have a couple of these, and recently added another to my collection. When I first laid eyes on The Stamp Market Lots of Love Notes Stamp Set, it was one of those “must-add-to-cart-ASAP” moments. This little guy is full of 44 (yes, 44!) sentiments, and I know I’m going to be using them for card occasions well beyond Valentine’s Day.

To start this card, I used the new (as of this month) Flowering Slimline Die, a gorgeous, modern looking cover die full of flowers. This became my background by running it through my die cutting machine with a piece of heavyweight white cardstock. While I had the die out, I also selected a couple of flowers on it to cut out in Color Crush Cardstock. The shades I chose (from bottom to top in the images you see here) were Peach, Raspberry, Peony and Cotton Candy. Next, I adhered those colourful petals where they fit – just like doing a puzzle.

For the sentiments, I picked 6 from the Lots of Love Notes Stamp Set and stamped them in black ink on more Color Crush Cardstock – Coral Reef, Peach, Bubble Gum, Cotton Candy, Peony and Raspberry. After die cutting these into thin strips, I used skinny foam strips to adhere them to my card.

I nearly stopped there, but felt the card just wasn’t done without a little sparkle. To finish it off, I reached for my tweezers, glue pen and Crystal Confetti, placing a little bit in the flower centers.

I’m really excited to get this one in the mail soon, and would also love to hear… are you making any cards for Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day?
