Nested Chevron Mini Slimline Cards

Let’s finish the week with 2 more mini slimline cards, shall we? I don’t know about you, but I can’t seem to get enough of this card size! I was in quite the creative flow while making the other mini slimline designs I shared here and here, and today’s makes are also a coordinated little duo.

To get started, I created a single background panel using the Pinkfresh Studio Pop-Out Cling Nested Chevron stamp and inks in Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Candy Violet and Regal Kiss. You’ve heard me say it before, but I LOVE a good red rubber cling stamp because the images are so clean and crisp, every single time. The pop-out feature of this one also makes multi-color stamping easy – no masking paper or Post-it tape required!

With my single chevron panel created, I used two of the rectangle dies in the Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle Die Set to create a frame for the first card. I backed it with a piece of acetate, and this became the frame for my shaker window.

Next, I used the Heather’s Lower Case Die Set to cut out the letters for hooray, making 2 of each so that I could stack them on top of each other. I adhered these vertically down my shaker window, then backed the frame portion with adhesive foam strips. Pinkfresh’s clear crystals are my go-to for shaker cards, so I poured a bunch in and sealed up the back of the window before mounting it on my mini slimline card panel. One down, one to go!

For the second card, I used the remaining piece of my chevron panel as the background, die cutting a circle in the middle (again from the Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle). Within that circle area, I stamped a ‘thanks for everything’ from the Seamless Starburst Circles Stamp Set in Regal Kiss ink.

The card needed some 3D-ness added, so I die cut a whole bunch of leafy bits from the Garden Wreath die set, as well as a few diagonal-stitch circles which I stacked on top of each other. After sticking all the leaves to the back of my stacked circles to make a white wreath, I adhered it to my chevron panel, framing the sentiment.

Finally, I slapped some foam tape all over the back of the chevron panel (would you expect any different from me?!) and mounted it on my card base.

That’s it for this week, but remember that if you haven’t yet entered for chances to win prizes in this week’s Pinkfresh Studio release hops, you still have time! You’ll find all the details for the blog hop here and Instagram hop here. Good luck, and I’ll see you back next week for more. Have a lovely weekend!
