Pinkfresh Studio April 2021 Stamp, Stencil, Die, and Hot Foil Release

Pinkfresh Studio April Release - Floral Bunch and Perfect Sentiments

April’s nearly over, and we’re sending it out with a bang because today marks the launch of Pinkfresh Studio’s latest release!

Pinkfresh April 2021 Release

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, this one’s full of all sorts of goodies – stamps, dies, stencils and hot foil plates. Today I’m part of the new release blog hop, and you’ll find all the details for that (including giveaways!) at the bottom of this post. If you’re visiting me here for the first time, welcome!

Pinkfresh Studio April Release - Floral Bunch and Perfect Sentiments

The two cards I have for you today feature the Floral Bunch stamp and coordinating die. (This set also has a layered stencil, which is also gorgeous!) I began by creating two striped card panels using a combo of pink, blue and green cardstock, as well as the Pinkfresh Slim Stripes die set. Once my stripes were aligned diagonally, I trimmed off the excess and moved on to stamping and embossing.

For the first card, I decided to use clear embossing powder, creating a watermark-like image directly on my striped panel. I haven’t used clear embossing powder in forever, but I love how it turned out here. (In case you wondered, I tried just stamping with embossing ink for a watermark effect, but it wasn’t as visible as I wanted it to be. The powder definitely did the trick!)

For the second card, I embossed the Floral Bunch cluster on vellum, then cut it out with the coordinating die. I positioned it towards the top left side of my striped card panel, trimmed off the excess, and adhered it with tiny transparent glue dots.

Next up came the sentiments, which are from the new Perfect Sentiments set. In addition to the stamp and die, there’s also a Perfect Sentiments hot foil plate and you can definitely look forward to seeing that in an upcoming post! What I love about this trio is that the sentiments are all on one large stamp, one foil plate, and one die – perfect it you (like me) enjoy bulk-creating sentiments so that you have a selection on hand for future cards.

After heat embossing my two sentiments in white on coordinating cardstock, I cut them out, in addition to one more shadow for each. I layered them on top of each other, adhered a sentiment on each card, and finished with a few clear droplets.

  13. Very pretty, delicate cards. I make mostly 5×7 cards so can’t use regular background stamps because they are too small. I think this Floral Bunch stamp will be perfect for my backgrounds.

  14. So pretty! I can’t decide which I like better, the clear embossing, or the white on vellum – but both are beautiful against those diagonal stripes.

  15. Stripes and florals are a great combo and you’ve used it so well here – love it. White pigment ink might be a neat idea too (if someone else didn’t already say that) because the white on the vellum looks so good.

  16. I love how you used the floral bunch stamp, especially as a watermark. The die cuts it out eo pretty and delicate. I need to remember about vellum, that is so lovely!

  17. I love the diagonal strips of colour. It really makes it a fun, happy and pretty card all in one! The clear embossed power was a great choice! And I love the vellum!

  18. I love the watermark look on your note card. I was, in fact, wondering if it was embossing ink or powder.

  19. Using the vellum on top of stripes is very engaging, as if you are bringing two worlds together. Victorian notes and modern! Beautiful cards.

  20. Lovely cards! I really like the bold sentiments and that they come as one stamp/die is absolutely fabulous!

  21. The Floral Bunch is such a good size… love the stripes in the background. This would be such a great way to use some of my scraps. Vellum makes is look super delicate for sure. Lovely ideas, TFS

  22. Beautiful cards!! Love the colors you used and all the embossing in clear and white!!

  23. Thanks for the reminder to use Watermark ink and clear heat embossing. Love both designs using stripes plus the vellum heat embossed florals. Awesome release!
