Pinkfresh Studio May 2022 Release Blog Hop

Pinkfresh Studio Celebrate in Style Card

Hi friends! Today I’m excited to be part of a blog hop to celebrate the new Pinkfresh Studio release, which is available as of today! As usual, this one’s full of fabulous florals, but I’m particularly excited about it because there are also cakes!

Fun fact about yours truly: As a kid, I wanted to be a baker when I grew up. I loved going to the grocery store with my parents and walking past the cases in the bakery, full of donuts, cakes, cupcakes – let’s just say that it’s a miracle I made it to adulthood with no cavities! These days I’m much more of the type that prefers savory things over sweet, but I was so thrilled to see the Celebrate in Style suite in this release because it reminded me of my childhood aspirations. I also love watching baking shows on Netflix, so perhaps it was just meant to be?

Ok, about the card! The Celebrate in Style Suite includes layering stencils, a stamp set and coordinating die. Like the previously-released Simplest Gestures stencils, the Celebrate in Style stencils include sentiments – Celebrate, Happy Birthday, and Congrats. You’ll also get mini sentiments in the stamp set, so there are lots to choose from. I decided to create a mini slimline card, but be sure to check out my Instagram feed tomorrow to see the set used on an A2 card size as well.😉

This suite offers 2 different cake sizes, as well as an assortment of florals and other details that can be mixed and matched to create gorgeous looking cakes. This includes icing swipes (not sure what else to call them) and bands that can be stamped (or heat embossed, as I’ve done here) to look like they run around the base of the cake tiers. I had so much fun “decorating” this cake for my mini slimline card, and I think all of you will too!

Since the cake and its stand served as a good focal point, I kept the rest simple. The background was created using the new Stitched Diamonds Cover Plate, which only pierces (and doesn’t cut). It’s sized for an A2 card, but since there’s no edge, it can easily be used for mini slimline and slimline designs too. For the frame, I used the previously released Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle, and finished with a Fancy Script Words hot foil sentiment and a few gold pearls. I can’t wait to get this one in the mail!

  11. You’re very good at your job, Angela! I had told myself that I surely did not need another cake stamp. Now I am rethinking that. I love the diamond cover plate and was already on the fence about that. I ordered the Stained Glass die/stencil but told myself that was enough for now since my craft budget is depleted already for May. I will put the cake and diamond coverplate on “The List.” Your card is a beauty! TFS – Lori S in PA
