Pinkfresh Studio December 2021 Release + Blog Hop

Pinkfresh Studio December Release Blog Hop - In the Meadow

Hi friends! I’m excited to be joining Pinkfresh Studio today for a blog hop to celebrate the latest December release.

Pinkfresh Studio December 2021 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

If you attended the Pinkfresh Create & Connect virtual event last month, you’ll recognize some of the supplies used on my card today – specifically, the In the Meadow stamp, die and layering stencil set. I love these florals because the cluster sizes allow for so much flexibility – you can cover the majority of an A2 panel with the largest one, or create a wreath with the smaller images as I’ve done today.

To get started, I stamped the smaller images from the In the Meadow Stamp Set very lightly in Pinkfresh Warm Buff ink, just to get faint impressions on my cardstock to guide my stenciling. It was almost instinctual to take the stamp out of my MISTI, but I caught myself just in time and left it in so I could emboss my floral outlines after. I then worked through the In the Meadow Layering Stencils to apply color, using Pinkfresh inks in Regal Kiss and Evergreen.

Once the ink was dry, I returned my cardstock to my MISTI to emboss the outlines, then die cut all of the images in a single pass with the 1-piece In the Meadow die. While I was at it, I also embossed a ‘thank you so very much’ sentiment from the Built on Dreams stamp set on white cardstock.

To create some visual interest on my white background, I used the new Lush Vines Hot Foil plate sans-foil to create a dry embossed impression in my die cutting machine. I really love how this plate has a lot of smaller leafy images in it, but still allows the larger florals from the In the Meadow stamp set remain the focus.

With all of the elements complete, it was time to assemble the card. I used some Glad Press n Seal to help position my wreath pieces exactly the way I wanted them, which temporarily held them in place while I applied adhesive to the back. I placed this directly on my dry embossed background, then mounted the whole thing on a white A2 card base, backed with foam tape. To finish, I added the sentiment with foam tape behind it and a few metallic gold pearls.

  1. Gorgeous card! The colors are fabulous and the layout is so nice. I enjoyed seeing you on the Craft Hour with Jeff. Y’all were great!

  2. Hi, Angela – That “In the Meadow” set sure is a beauty! I am having a heck of a time deciding what to buy and what to save for another time. I can’t afford it all but it’s like Sophie’s Choice…. very difficult. Your card is GORGEOUS! Really enjoyed seeing you w/ Jeff on the Craft Hour, BTW.

  3. Angela, I just love how your card turned out. It is bright, bold and love the texture of the embossed background as well. Even though the pictures do not do it justice the floral wreath is very impressive. Great work.

  4. Beautiful contrast and texture. I often forget to use plates for texturing. Thanks for the reminder. I don’t have a foiling machine (yet) 💵, but do have some texture plates that I forget about.

  5. Love the wreath of flowers.
    The gold outlining is great.

  6. I really like the idea of dry embossing the background as it gives the perfect foundation for all the pretty florals. These products are amazing. Thanks! 💖
