Happy Holidays, friends! With Christmas just a few days away, It’s time to squeeze in one last Pinkfresh release for the year. There’s a mix of everything in this one, including beautiful floral designs, hot foil plates and sentiments. My card today features the Pinkfresh Studio Floral Border suite, and while normally I’d jump at the chance to use the hot foil plate, I really love how the stamp looks too!
To get started, I stamped the Floral Border image in Detail Black ink, then used the coordinating layering stencil set to color in the images with Pinkfresh inks in Storm, Sky Blue, Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose and Candy Apple, plus a touch of Marigold on the flower centers. With the coloring complete, I used the Floral Border die to cut out the frame, then got to work on the background.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you likely know that I loooooove a white background. In the name of shaking things up, I decided to do something totally different here, and used the Dotted Scallop Cover Plate to add some texture to a panel of deep navy cardstock. I adhered this directly to an A2 card base, then layered the Floral Border over top with foam tape. To finish, I added an embossed sentiment from the same stamp set, and a few Champagne Glitter Drops.
