Pinkfresh Studio February Release + Blog Hop

Seamless Starbursts - Pinkfresh Studio February 2021 Release

Hi friends! Today I’m joining Pinkfresh Studio in celebrating their latest release, and she’s an absolute beauty! If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! My name is Angela and I’ve been into crafting for as long as I can remember. In 2019 after a far-too-long hiatus from papercrafts, I rediscovered my love for card making. And now…. here we are!

February Release blog hop

You can expect to see a whole bunch of Pinkfresh cards from me in the coming weeks that feature the newest goodies – there’s a ton to play with! For today’s post I’m focusing on two of my favourites, the Seamless Starbursts Layered Stencil Set and coordinating Stamp Set.

To get started, I picked out my Pinkfresh Studio inks. This was a trio of purples, cool greens and blues for the first card:

  • Soft Lilac
  • Candy Violet
  • Royal Kiss

Cool greens:

  • Mint
  • Aquamarine
  • Mermaid Cove

  • Sky Blue
  • Slumber
  • Sapphire

For the second card I tried using just stencils 1-4 with a combo of purples, corals and yellows:

  • Soft Lilac
  • Candy Violet

  • Coral Reef
  • Passionfruit

  • Sweet Mustard
  • Marigold

The Seamless Starburst Layered Stencil is a 6-piece set with super convenient guides on the corners so that you can get the placement just right with each layer. I started with my lightest shade for each of the three colours, moving through to the darkest until the starbursts were complete.

After the inks were completely dry, I used the largest stamp in the Seamless Starburst Stamp Set to apply some clear embossing ink over each burst. Next, I applied some fine detail sparkling gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess, then set it with my heat gun. The results turned out SO well, and I really wish the photos could convey the amount of sparkle this added!

With those panels complete, I kept my embossing supplies out and chose a sentiment for each card. These also came from the Seamless Starburst Stamp Set, and were embossed in fine gold detail embossing powder. (That’s my go-to for sentiments because it helps to ensure a nice crisp, clear result.) I used cardstock in coordinating colours behind my sentiments and the stenciled panels, and adhered them all with foam tape because your girl can NEVER have too much dimension!
