Pinkfresh Studio September Release - Garden Roses

Hi friends! Today I’m joining Pinkfresh Studio in celebrating the latest release which just went live this morning. If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! I’m Angela, and I’m so glad you’re here!

If you, like me, use a lot of florals on your cards, I think you’re going to love this release. There are some gorgeous large flower cluster stamps sets that come with coordinating stencils and dies, and the on today’s card, I’m featuring the Garden Roses stamp and die set. (There’s a layering stencil too, and you can see what I got up to with that tomorrow on Instagram!)

To get started on this card, I stamped the Garden Roses stamp in clear ink on vellum and embossed it in white. The coordinating die made this super easy to cut out, and while I was at it, I used the Color Block Diagonal Stripes die to cut an assortment of blue, yellow and plum stripes for my background panel. You could absolutely do this with a paper trimmer, but this die gives you perfect stripes every time and I’ve been using it a LOT lately!

Once I’d adhered all of my background stripes onto a single panel, I backed it with craft foam and mounted it on my A2 card base. I followed with the vellum piece, using small clear adhesive dots to secure it. (These are what I use for most of my vellum projects because they’re pretty much invisible, especially if you place them under areas of embossing.)

The Garden Roses stamp set, as well as the others in this release, come with some really great everyday sentiments that I know I’ll be using all year round. I chose a ‘Just Because’ from the Dahlia Bunch stamp set, embossing it in white on Concord & 9th Peacock cardstock for contrast. Finally, to finish, I added a few clear crystals.
