Welcome to the blog hop for the July 2022 Pinkfresh Studio release! I’ll start by saying that I’m a summer girl, through and through. Sunshine, lounging by the pool, grilling all the things… if I could have one season forever, that would be it. All that said, there are some really pretty fall products in this new release, and I can’t wait for you to see them all.
Today’s card focuses on the new Pears and Pomegranates suite, which includes a stamp set, dies, layering stencils and washi tape. Prior to joining the Pinkfresh Design Team I wasn’t much of a washi tape user, but I’ve since become a massive fan. The artwork on the Pinkfresh washi rolls is always so beautiful, and it can make a card that was made in 30 minutes look like it took hours!
To get started, I rolled out several stretches of washi tape on vellum. (If you cut a standard vellum sheet length-wise, you can get 2 complete sets of images laid down, with a little leftover for creating sentiments etc. The coordinating die made cutting all of them out a breeze, and I was thrilled to see that there are also 2 coordinating dies for the sentiments in the Pears and Pomegranates stamp set. (I LOVE a coordinating word die!)
For the background, I reached way back in my stash for the Mini Slimline Essentials die set, which includes several smaller circle frames. I die cut the same one three times into a trimmed white card panel in a somewhat random fashion, then popped it forward on a white A2 card base with foam tape.
Next, it was time for a little foiling with the Nested Diamonds Hot Foil set. I used a coordinating die to cut it out, then embossed one of the sentiments from the Pears and Pomegranates stamp set in gold on some of my leftover vellum. With all the pieces ready for assembly, I played with the arrangement for a while until it looked the way I wanted it to, then adhered everything in place. A few little matte gold pearls finished it off, and even though I’m still VERY much in summer mode, I’m loving the fall vibes of this card!
