Pinkfresh Studio March Challenge: Flowers!

Pinkfresh Studio March Challenge - Known and Loved

Today marks the start of Pinkfresh Studio’s March Challenge, and this month the theme is flowers. If you’re a Pinkfresh fan, I’m sure you’ve got a lot of floral things in your stash so it’s super easy to participate!

As you’ll know if you’ve been following for a while, I’m a sucker for a good white-on-white dimensional background and this card is no exception. I used the Essentials Nested Chevron Die with white cardstock in my die cutting machine, then backed the chevron pieces with foam tape before securing them on my card.

Next I moved on to the wreath, which comes from the Known and Loved Layering Stencil Set. Layering stencils are such an easy way to apply multiple colours without having to pull out your stamp masking paper and post-its, which is one of the reasons I’ve been using them so often lately.

The inks I chose were Meadow, Candy Violet, Royal Kiss, Coral Reef and Passionfruit, and once they were dry, I used the wreath in the Known and Loved stamp set to emboss an outline in gold. While I was at it, I also embossed the word Celebrate from the Happy Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set and cut it out with the coordinating die.

After cutting out the wreath with the Known and Loved die, it was time for assembly. The chevron background already created a lot of dimension, so I adhered the wreath with tape runner and popped the sentiment foward with skinny double-sided adhesive strips.
