Pinkfresh Studio October 2022 Release and Blog Hop

Pinkfresh Studio Enchanting Flora Washi Card

Hi friends! Today I’m excited to be part of the Pinkfresh Studio October 2022 Release and Blog Hop, and today I’ve got a clean and simple project to share that features some of the gorgeous new products.

You may already be hooked on Pinkfresh Studio’s washi tapes, but if not, I think this release just might tip you over the edge. There are 5 new suites that each include a stamp set, die, layering stencil and washi tape roll, and my card today showcases the Enchanting Flora suite. The soft greens, purples and pinks are so pretty, and I love the light, airy design of the florals.

To get started on this card, I created a foiled background using the Stained Glass hot foil plate and Champagne Glimmer foil. This plate is large enough to cover a full A2 panel, but because I love a good thick border, I trimmed mine down to 3.5 x 4.75″. With my foiling machine still out, I also used a plate from the Nested Circles hot foil set and its coordinating die to make a circle about the size of the wreath on the Enchanting Flora Washi Tape.

Speaking of that wreath, I love the look of washi tape designs on vellum, so I rolled out a few stretches of the Enchanting Flora Washi over vellum and used the coordinating die to cut out all of the images. one thing I love about Pinkfresh’s washi tapes is that they’re super easy to work with, and if you don’t quite get them laid flat on your first attempt, you can easily pull it back and try again without any damage to the washi or your vellum underneath.

There was one final step before assembly, and that was embossing a sentiment. The die sets in this release include dies for some of the sentiment stamps (hooray!!!) and on this occasion, I used a “Thanks for your kindness” from the Chrysanthemums stamp set. To create a lot of contrast and ensure it stood out, I chose to emboss it in white on deep navy cardstock, and stacked up several die cuts to make it more sturdy.

Assembly was quick and easy. I layered the washi wreath over the framed and foiled circle with liquid glue, then mounted that toward the upper third of the Stained Glass background panel with foam tape. All of that went straight onto a white A2 card base with more liquid glue, and to finish, I added a little bit of sparkle with a few of the new Gold Glitter Drops.

  7. Hi, Angela –
Love the combo of hot foil + glittery embellishments + the woodland washi (so beautiful). Your card is a stunner. And I have the foil plate, so I would be able to make this if I got the washi. Lovely!
