Good morning, guys!
If you live in Canada, I’m sure you’re just as excited as I am about the long weekend coming up. It looks like it’s going to be a gorgeous one so I’m planning for some beach time, some running and cycling, firework-watching, and working on hopefully getting rid of the lovely (not) sports bra tan lines I’ve acquired. What are you going to get up to?
Work It Out
Not long ago I received a request for more swim workouts, so today I’m going to deliver! Running will probably always be my true love when it comes to a favourite form of exercise, but swimming has caught me by surprise this year. There are so many great benefits – cardiovascular development and resistance training without any impact on the joints are just a few. So with that said, and with it being summer (and therefore hot), why not cool off this weekend with a splash in the pool? Sounds like a good idea to me. đ
The Pool Pyramid Swim Workout
All you’ll need for this is a kickboard and pull buoy. Feel free to use paddles as well for the pulling parts of the workout, and adjust the rest periods as needed for your fitness level. Once you’ve finished, you’ll have covered 2000m!
For the drills, you’ll find videos that explain them (and lots of other drills) here.

Turn It Up
Jason Derulo’s songs seem to be absolutely everywhere this summer, and strangely, I haven’t get become sick of hearing any of them. One that I’ve recently bumped near the beginning of my playlists (mainly because it really helps to get me going on mornings when I’m feeling more tired than usual) is Follow Me, featuring Hardwell. This version is about 3 and a half minutes, but if you truly can’t get enough, there happens to be a 1 hour long version too. Enjoy!

I was JUST on your site looking for swim workouts that you did a while back. I may not love swimming workouts, but the benefits just can’t be beat and if I can do them outside, I am TOTALLY down.
Thanks for an awesome workout and have a fantastic long weekend. (Good luck with those tan lines…)
