Quick and Easy Merry Christmas Shaker Card

Quick and Easy Merry Christmas Shaker Card - featuring The Stamp Market

Cue the confetti, because I’ve got one very confetti-filled shaker card to show you today! Not only is it a quick one to put together, but thanks to the patterned paper, you could easily create many of these with different backgrounds in a single crafting session.

Quick and Easy Merry Christmas Shaker Card

Not long ago, I shared this Christmas card which featured The Stamp Market Scripty Merry die. As a handlettering enthusiast, I love a good scripty sentiment and wanted to make another where it was the primary focus. To start, I used the die along with some dark teal and pink cardstock to cut the 2 layers. Next, I die cut my shaker frame from white heavyweight cardstock and trimmed an acetate window panel to fit behind it. As for the background, the original plan was to do a stamped design. However, I was running out of crafting time and instead, ended up reaching for some Merry & Bright patterned paper. It ended up being a great choice and I really like how it turned out!

For the assembly, I first adhered the acetate window to the white frame, then placed skinny foam adhesive strips around the border. (I use these on pretty much all of my shaker cards – the width is perfect!) After filling the window with Crystal Confetti, I closed it up by placing the patterned paper layer on top, patterned side down. This shaker pouch was adhered to my card base, and from there, all I needed to do was stick my sentiments on the acetate.

  1. This is so cute, my daughter would love to make this! I wish we could just skip over Halloween and go straight to Christmas! haha

  2. Oh Ang, my jaw dropped when I saw this on insta! Such a creative idea to add the pattern to a shaker! And I can totally see why you would be smitten with this die AND that you are a hand lettering fan – your handwriting is GORGEOUS.
