It’s two days after my last post and I don’t think it’s stopped snowing since. As you may have guessed, that means I haven’t really stopped crafting since! TodayI’m coming at ya with a little rainbow floral everyday card, perfect for brightening anyone’s week – especially in the middle of winter!
I began this card with the embossing of the sentiment, which comes from the Pinkfresh Studio Friendship Blooms stamp set, and the large floral from the Choose Hope stamp set. I paired vellum with white embossing powder for the floral to allow the rainbow to show through, but went with white cardstock and gold embossing powder for the sentiment for a stronger contrast.
After cutting out the floral with the coordinating die, I moved on to create the rainbow background panel. I chose 8 shades of cardstock and used a die from the Essentials Slim Edgers Die Set to create a little point at the bottom of each piece. You guys know I like stripes, but these are stripes with a twist!
After evenly spacing and securing the rainbow pieces to a trimmed white panel, I backed that with foam tape and mounted it on my card base. I used tiny transparent glue dots to mount the embossed floral piece, then a little more foam tape behind the sentiment. And that was it – ta-daa!
