Reverse Confetti - Countdown to Confetti - Sunny Flower and Hot Foil Thank You

Hi friends! Today I’m very excited to be joining Reverse Confetti in the Countdown to Confetti for their upcoming release. Today is the first day of sneak peeks, and those of you who love hot foiling are going to be thrilled to know that foil plates are here! Today’s sneak peek will give you a look at one of them, but brace yourselves because I’ll be showing more this Friday, July 15th during the new release blog hop.

Before we get to talking about the card, here’s the details you need to know about the Countdown to Confetti and release day: You can expect sneak peeks every day from now until Friday. Each day, a lucky commenter from the stops along the hop will win a $15 Reverse Confetti gift certificate. You can enter each day for multiple entries, and there’s another gift card up for grabs on the Reverse Confetti Facebook page. Comments on both close at noon on July 14th, and the winner will be announced at 5pm that day on the Reverse Confetti blog and Facebook page. For the full blog hop lineup, just scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Alrighty, over to today’s card! My project features the new Sunny Flower stamp set, a fun layering stamp set that includes some cute little florals, different options for flower centers, and leaves. There are coordinating dies available, and since I was feeling in a summery mood when making this, I opted for some fresh pinks and oranges in my color palette.

For quick and easy batch stamping, I used the jig method to create my flowers. To do this, I die cut many of each floral element from Sunny Flowers from white cardstock, using the leftover piece as my alignment guide. After setting it in my MISTI, I aligned the solid flower stamp in the opening, closed the MISTI door so that it would be stuck in the correct place, then popped my first flower die cut into the space. From here, I just had to stamp, take the die cut out, and repeat with all the remaining ones. I did several because I wanted to make a few cards, and I love this method for batch card creation!

After all my die cuts were ready, I created a simple textured background using the new Reverse Confetti Deco Cover Panel. I LOVE Reverse Confetti’s cover dies because they offer enough detail to add visual interest, but not so much that the eye is distracted from the focal elements of the card. You’ll see me use the Deco Cover Panel a lot this week – it was a fast favorite!

Now, for the hot foil plates! This release includes two sentiments, as well as the Elements hot foil plates which I’ll show this Friday. Sentiments include ‘thank you’ and ‘birthday wishes’, and I’ve used the former here. These plates foil beautifully on colored cardstock, and their coordinating dies make them a breeze to cut out. I decided to die cut a few and stack them up for dimension, then arranged them, along with my flowers, over the background.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and again, be sure to comment along each stop to enter to win:

See you back here tomorrow!
