Hi friends! Today I’m participating in the Reverse Confetti August Stock Your Stash Challenge, a community challenge with a new theme each month. August’s theme is Wedding, so that’s the look I was going for with today’s project.

If you know me, you know I love a white-on-white background. I created one here as the foundation of my card with white cardstock and a large leaf from the Flower Builder Confetti Cuts die set, trimming the excess bits hanging off the edge of the panel.

Next, I created the focal element – the layered flower from the Flower Builder die set. Using blending brushes and inks in purple and sage green, I applied the ink, blending from the center outward so that most of the color was concentrated in the middle. After assembling the flower, I mounted it over a thin gold cardstock frame. Normally I’d be all about the foam tape, but in this case, the layers of the flower made it unnecessary because they created enough dimension on their own.

If you’d like to play along in the Stock Your Stash Challenge, you’ve got until the end of August to participate. Once you create your card with your favorite Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts, head to the Reverse Confetti blog and check out the current Stock Your Stash Challenge post. Add your project photo at the bottom (you can add as many entries as you like) and be sure to use #SYSChallenge when playing along with this challenge on Instagram.
A winner will be selected at random at the end of the month, and if it’s you, you’ll receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store. The winner of challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog. Good luck!
