Happy almost-weekend! In the spirit of celebration, today I’ve got a fun birthday shaker card to share that features the Pinkfresh Studio Seamless Starburst Circles stamp set and layering stencils.
I began with my stenciling, working through the layers of the stencils with a selection of Pinkfresh dye inks. I picked three of each colour (pink, green and blue): Raspberry Bliss, Sparkling Rose, Ballet Slipper, Emerald Cove, Meadow, Mint, Sky Blue, Summer Shower and Seaside.
After the stenciling was finished and the inks were dry, I placed the panel in my stamping platform and used the Seamless Starburst stamp set. Using gold glitter embossing powder, I added the sparkly rays that you see on each starburst. While my embossing supplies were out, I also stamped a Happy Birthday from the Happy Birthday Sentiments stamp set, then cut it out with the coordinating die.
Next up was the shaker card construction, which was super simple. I cut out a simple rectangle frame that was slightly bigger than my stenciled panel, as well as a piece of acetate trimmed to the same size. I adhered the acetate to the back of the frame, lined the edges with foam tape, then poured some clear Pinkfresh crystals inside. I spread the crystals out across the acetate (this helps to ensure none of them get stuck), then closed up my shaker window by sticking the stenciled panel onto the back. I applied some double-sided tape, then flipped it over and centered the piece to my card base.
