Sending a Happy Note - featuring The Stamp Market

Hello there, and if this is your first time visiting, welcome! Today I’ve got a clean and simple card to share, and one I am most certainly going to be making a few variations of because I really love how it turned out. Clean and simple feels like a very fitting way to begin a fresh new year, doesn’t it?

I started by creating a background using The Stamp Market Good Ole Gingham background stamp and white embossing powder. (This stamp is becoming a fast favourite, and if you’re interested in seeing a completely different way to use it, check out this post!) To make sure that I got a good stamped impression before applying the embossing powder, I put a piece of craft foam under my vellum in my stamping platform. This is a trick I learned from a video created by Amy at The Stamp Market, and it never fails!

For my sentiments, I die cut the letters for ‘sending’ using the Mini Skinny Upper Alphabet die set and various shades of Color Crush cardstock. (This is a great way to use up scraps!) I paired this with ‘a happy note’ from the Lovely Little Notes stamp set and embossed it in gold before die cutting it with a simple banner die.

After attaching the banner beneath the die cut alphabet letters with foam tape, I finished the card with a few colourful enamel dots. I love how fun these are, an how they pop so much against white backgrounds. They’re also self-adhesive which I appreciate on days when I don’t quite have as much crafting time as I’d like!

I hope your new year is off to a lovely start so far, and I’ll see you back soon for another card!
