If you were into the colour palette and flowers from my last post, I think you’re going to like today’s card too! It’s a continuation of the Valentine’s Day set of cards I’ve been working on, but the products I’ve used could absolutely be used year-round for “just because” cards – and plenty of others.
The Flowering Slimline Die from The Stamp Market was featured in my last card to create a white-on-white background, and you guys know I’m all about those white-on-whites. This time, I wanted to do similar, but add a few more pops of colour. To do this, I paired the coordinating Basic Flowers Die with vellum.
To get started, I used the small flower from the Basic Flowers Die and die cut several from Color Crush cardstock. I adhered each of these to a piece of heavyweight vellum, leaving some hanging off the edge which I trimmed off later. Next, I stuck little transparent glue dots under the flowers and centered that panel on my card base. (Where would we be without transparent glue dots?! I rarely use vellum without them!)
Next came the sentiment, which I chose from the Sending You stamp set. I heat embossed this in silver, then cut it out with a basic nested rounded rectangle die. I backed it with foam tape before adhering it to my floral vellum panel, then finished the card with some small bits of Crystal Confetti in the flower centers.
I’ve got one more card in this trio to share, coming up in my next post. Until then, I hope this one has inspired you to get your crafting supplies out, and thanks for stopping by!
