Hey there friends!
Question: anyone else really in the mood for florals lately? Perhaps it’s my brain dying for spring to come, but I realized after a recent card making session that every card was of the flowery type! Spring may be a long way off, but in the meantime I’m going forward with a plan to pretend it’s closer than the calendar tells me with plenty of bloom-filled card creations.
On that note, today’s card features one of my favourite stencils, the Pinkfresh Studio Daisy Wreath Layered Stencil Set. I grabbed my blending brushes and chose dye inks in Emerald, Meadow, Passion Fruit, Marigold, Raspberry Bliss and Sparkling Rose. Yes, I’ve said it before, but these layered stencils are SO easy to use and nearly impossible to mess up. Trust me, if I can do it, you can too!
Once finished, I cut out the wreath with the coordinating Daisy Wreath Die, then got to work on my (very quick) background. For this, I used the Simply Diamonds Cover Die with some heavyweight white cardstock, and backed that piece with skinny foam strips. The only other to-do was the sentiment, which is from the Floral Notes stamp set. I stamped it in Emerald Ink, then positioned and adhered the stenciled wreath and sentiment over the diamond tile background. Ta-daa!
I hope this card inspired you to play with some of the stencils in your stash, and bring out some florals, too! See you back here soon, and thanks so much for stopping by.
