So Proud of You – featuring Pinkfresh Studio

So Proud of You - Garden Wreath Die Set - Pinkfresh Studio

If you were to stop by for a visit, it would become apparent very quickly that I’m very much a plant lady. Some people are into dogs, some into cats, but over here, plants are my jam. While I don’t have quite as many plant babies as was the case in my previous LA apartment, there are still plenty to keep me busy and the majority of them are monsteras – my fave species of them all!

As you can imagine, I was thrilled to see a little monstera leaf in the Pinkfresh Studio Garden Wreath die set. For this particular card I only used that leaf, but the set comes with a bunch of mini foliage pieces, as well as a ring die to easily position the die cuts around in a circle to form a wreath.

Before die cutting, I began by building my background and used the Pop-Out Sunburst Cling Stamp. I chose a combination of dye inks in Ballet Slipper, Apricot and Coral Reef, alternating colors all the way around until the background was complete. While the inks dried, I moved on to the focal point – my monstera wreath.

After cutting out a bunch of leaves in green cardstock, I arranged half of them directly on the stamped card panel, and the other half behind a white circle. I backed that piece with foam tape, then placed it over the leaves arranged on the card panel. This created a layered, dimensional effect with a few shadows, and because there’s no such thing as too much dimension, I also used skinny foam strips behind my sentiment. I chose the ‘so proud of you’ from the Celebrating You sentiments set which I foiled in silver and cut out with the coordinating die.

To finish the card, I backed the entire stamped panel with foam tape and mounted it to the white card base, then added a few clear droplets. This was a super easy one to put together, and the color combinations are truly endless so I can certainly see myself making it again. Thank you so much for stopping by!
