Hi friends! Today I’ve got 2 cards to share that I made this past weekend. I was in the mood for some stamping – ok, lots of stamping – so I reached for one of my current favorite floral sets, the Spring Florals from Pigment Craft Co.
I got started by choosing some colors, which were a combo of Pinkfresh and The Stamp Market dye ink pads:
- Candy Violet (PFS)
- Soft Lilac (PFS)
- Citrine (TSM)
- Stargazer (PFS)
- Island (TSM)
- Tropic Teal (TSM)
- Sea Glass (TSM)
With my inks selected, I stamped a bunch of flowers – solids and their outlines – and cut them out with the coordinating dies. For a few of the flowers, I added some accents around the centers with my Tombow brush pens in colors that closely matched the stamping. Next, I cut out all the pieces with the coordinating Spring Floral dies and began to arrange them over two trimmed white card panels.
When the arrangements looked the way I wanted them to, I used a piece of Glad Press n Seal to temporarily hold all the flowers. together. This allowed me to flip over each cluster, put some adhesive on the back, and secure them down on my card panels. I used double-sided tape on some of the flowers, but also popped a few forward with foam tape for some dimension. Rather than leaving the flower centers blank or stamped, I decided to add some sparkle with crystal confetti.
While the embellishments dried, I heat embossed two sentiments from The Stamp Market Gorgeous Greetings stamp set (one of my most-used sentiment sets!) in white. I chose to do this on cardstock in Orchid and Navy, which created a lot of contrast and allows the sentiments to be the focal points of each card. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, then mounted them on my card panels with skinny foam tape strips.
Stay tuned for a few more fresh floral designs coming up soon, and in the meantime, I hope you’re having a fabulous week!
