Hey there lovelies! It’s a super snowy weekend here in Vancouver – our first snow of the season! My snow boots just made their debut, and after having braved the elements on my morning walk, I’m ready to dive straight into card making. But first…. I want to share this one with you!
You guys know I can’t resist a good leafy die, and the Pinkfresh Studio Curvy Leaves die set is quickly climbing to the top of my list of faves. For this card, I began creating my white-on-white background panel. I cut a bunch of leaves from white cardstock, adhering them on a plain white panel and trimming off the excess around the edges.
Once that was complete, I used just the small die in the 3-piece set to create some coloured leaves. I chose a colour palette of turquoise, purple, pale pink and yellow, and cut two of each. Before working on my wreath arrangement, I embossed the ‘You are Next-Level Amazing’ sentiment from the new My Favourite Things to Say 2 stamp set in gold embossing powder.
I die cut the sentiment with a simple circle die, and while I was at it, created an extra circle which I covered in tape runner adhesive. This allowed me to easily adhere my leaves in an evenly-spaced way, and once I had them arranged, I placed my sentiment circle on top.
To give the card even more dimension, I backed the white panel in foam tape before mounting it on my white card base. The back of the wreath also got the foam tape treatment, and I finished the card with a few clear crystal embellishments.
Alright, time to make a huge mess of my craft table while I get into card creation mode! I hope you have a fabulous weekend, and I’ll see you back here next week for more!
My one question I have is where did you purchase your purple and turquoise paper? They are very lovely colors
Hi Roxanne! Those two cardstock colours actually came from a multi-coloured cardstock pad I found at Michaels! They yellow and pink are from The Stamp Market.
