You Are So Great - featuring The Stamp Market Ready to Bloom Cover Die

Hey there friends! I hope you’ve had a lovely week, and that you’ve got some creative/crafty time on the schedule for this weekend. I’m certainly looking forward to spending plenty of time away from my computer, and conveniently, a few new card making goodies arrived on my doorstep yesterday so I’m excited to play with those.

Today’s simple card features some of my favourite things: blooms and a whoooooooole bunch of enamel dots! I’ve been using a ton of enamel dots lately because they little bits of colour, dimension and shine. But before we get to those, let’s back up a step.

For the flowers, I used The Stamp Market Ready to Bloom Cover Die and ran it through my die cutting machine with white heavyweight cardstock. This is a die that I purchased months ago and didn’t use as much as I anticipated, but it feels so perfect for this stage in the year when there isn’t a whole lot blooming outside – at least here in Vancouver there isn’t!

Once the flowers were arranged on my vellum card front, I used a variety of enamel dots to create a rainbow of colour pops across the flower centers. For my sentiment, I chose “you are so great” from the Lovely Little Notes stamp set and paired it with fine detail gold embossing powder. After cutting this out with a simple rounded rectangle nesting die, I adhered it to my floral vellum panel with foam tape, then hid little clear adhesive dots behind the flowers to adhere it to my card base.

Alrighty, time for me to get into some Valentine’s Day card making! I hope you have a fabulous day, and thanks as always for stopping by!
