You are the Sweetest Floral Card - The Stamp Market

Hey there! Today I’ve got a sweet little floral card to share with you, perfect for spring – or any time of year, really, but I’ve got spring on my mind these days. I don’t know about you, but I’m more than ready to see some sunshine and warmer weather!

I started this card with The Stamp Market Flowering Slimline Die and a piece of heavyweight white cardstock. (For more inspo that uses this die, check out these cards!) As the name suggests, it’s intended to be for slimline cards, but I cropped the length of it to fit a standard A2 sized card, creating a border of about 1/2″ on all four sides. I chose three shades of Color Crush cardstock – peony, bubblegum and cotton candy – and while I had the die out, die cut some flower petals so that I could inlay them in the flower spaces.

Once these pieces were adhered to my white card panel, I heat embossed the word ‘thanks’ from the Gorgeous Greetings stamp set in white on a piece of vellum. I used the coordinating Gorgeous Greetings dies to cut it out, then created 3 more die cuts for a colourful layered effect that also allowed for some contrast. After stacking and sticking these together, I mounted the ‘thanks’ on my card. I also heat embossed the words ‘you are the sweetest’ from the Tons of Type stamp set in white on Cactus cardstock, backed that with a skinny foam strip, and adhered it directly under my die cut ‘thanks’.

Finally, I backed the entire floral panel with foam tape, mounted it on my card base, and a few little bits of silver confetti finished the card. I hope this one’s got you feeling some warm spring vibes, and thank you so much for stopping by!
