Do you have certain types of card making supplies that you just can’t resist? The kind that, when you discover them, instantly think “I NEED to have it!”
That’s how I feel about jumbo word dies. When you’ve got a fun sentiment as the focal point of the card, you don’t need to do much else!
For this design, I used the Flower Power stamp from The Stamp Market, as well as some fine white embossing powder and kraft cardstock for my background. (If heat embossing isn’t a process you have time for, you could certainly use the stamp with opaque white ink instead.) After setting the embossing powder with my heat gun, I trimmed the background panel to fit my white card base, then got to die cutting.
This Just a Note jumbo word die is big enough to fill a card front when cut in a single layer, but I wanted to add a bit more colour. To do this, I made three of them from shades of turquoise and mint and stacked them on top of each other, slightly offsetting each layer so that all three shades remained visible. After adhering them to my card with some skinny foam strips (for even more dimension!), I finished it off with a few bits of confetti on the flower centers.
That’s it! A simple and quick card that came together in about 20 minutes. Thanks for stopping by!
