Hi friends!
This month, the theme for Pinkfresh Studio’s challenge is ‘Year In Review’, and that means making a card that fits any of the monthly themes featured last year. There were SO many good ones, and today I’m joining in on the challenge with a card inspired by August’s ‘Florals’ theme.
To get started, I used the Sunburst Pop-Out Die and a piece of white cardstock to create my background. It added just enough interesting texture, while still letting my main element, the daisy wreath, be the focus.
To create the wreath, I used the Daisy Wreath Layering Stencil and Pinkfresh inks in Meadow, Emerald City, Marigold, Sweet Mustard and Passion Fruit. After cutting it out with the coordinating die, I attached a simple white circle behind to fill in the middle, then got to work on die cutting my sentiment. For this, I used Heather’s Lower Case Die Set and Lea’s Ornate Upper Case Die Set, along with some pink and purple shades of cardstock.
Once the letters were all die cut and arranged the way I wanted them, I used some Post-It tape to hold them in place while I flipped them over and attached my adhesive. This is totally not necessary if you prefer to save time, but I like getting my letter positioning juuuuust right!
From there, it was just a matter of backing my wreath and sentiment piece with foam tape and adhering it to my white sunburst card base.
