Happy Friday, friends! I’m popping in with a very quick post today because I couldn’t resist another card share to showcase the recently-released Fintastic stamp set from The Stamp Market.
As I mentioned earlier this week, I’m not normally a critters-on-cards kind of crafter, and I know this isn’t going to be the most heavily-used set in my stash. That said, let me tell you – my sardine-loving friends (and yes, I have several!) are going to get sardine cards all year round! Birthday sardines, Christmas sardines, Valentines sardines…. I promise, you will see more of these in the future! But for now, how about a little rainbow action?
I started by picking out a rainbow (or part of a rainbow) of cardstock, then got to heat embossing white patterns from the Fintastic stamp set to make the sardine bodies. When they were all set, I used the coordinating Sardine dies to cut out the fish, as well as the bowties and fins in slightly different shades of the main colors I showed.
Before adhering any sardines to my white card panel, I trimmed the sardines to a little larger than half their original size, then stamped “you’re pretty fintastic” in black ink, just above where the top of the sardines would hit.
Eight fish seemed to be the perfect number to position along the length of a mini slimline card panel with a little bit of overlap. I started to adhere them using tape runner and foam tape, alternating adhesive with each sardine to pop 4 of them forward. A few little bits of crystal confetti were enough to add a little bit of shine and finish off the cards.
Alrighty, that’s all for this week! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!
